Counselor-in-Training
Ages: entering grades 8 through 10 – CITs must be 13 by the start of camp
Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Are you mature, like to lead and love kids? Then make the most of your summer by helping children make the most of theirs and join our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program. Our CIT program is specifically designed for teens aged 13 to 15 who want to develop their leadership skills in working with children. CITs will learn behavior management, team-building, communication and activity leadership by helping counselors work with younger campers. Supervised by our CIT Directors, CITs will have the hands-on opportunity to assist group counselors, teach activities and plan special events. Plus, a session day trip will give the group the added chance to discuss camp experiences and build relationships.
To get started, simply complete and submit our on-line Camper Registration Form as early as December 1st. Preference is given to returning CITs up until December 8th. After that time, all other applications will be reviewed in order of receipt with preference being given to returning campers. Once we receive registration forms, we will send you a complete Counselor-in-Training Application Packet, which includes:
- CIT Application Form
- Letter of Recommendation
- Personal Statement
- Personal Interview
Completed applications are to be returned to us by December 31, 2022. CIT Applications received after this time will be considered on a rolling basis and accepted based on remaining availability.
Extended Day
Want more camp? You’ve got it. Our weekly Extended Day programs are available to all Counselor-in-Training Campers for an additional fee For more info, click here.
- 7:30-8:30 am – Drop off your camper up to an hour earlier than the regular drop-off at 8:30 am.
- 4:00-6:00 pm – Extend your camper’s day as late as possible to give them full access to more activities.
Bus Transportation
